Jubo League leader Khaled handed over to police

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members on Thursday handed over arrested Jubo League leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan to Gulshan Police Station
Khaled Mahmud, Dhaka South Jubo League organising secretary, was brought to the Police Station by a white microbus around 2:32pm amid tight security, said RAB legal and media wing senior assistant director ASP Mizanur Rahman.
The Police Station OC Kamruzzaman said "Khaled is now under our custody".
The Jubo League leader was arrested on Wednesday evening for illegally running a casino at Young Men's Club in Fakirerpool area.
Three cases--arms case, drugs and money laundering case-- will be filed against Khaled Mahmud with Gulshan and Motijheel Police Stations, RAB said.
Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, the elite force conducted a drive in Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, owned by Khaled, and detained 142 people including some female employees from there.
Huge quantum of liquor and Tk 24 lakh in cash were also recovered from the club.
Among the 142 detainees, 31 were jailed for one year each and the rests for six months each.
