Biman's Mayurpankhi makes 'technical landing' at Dhaka airport

A Singapore-bound flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Boeing 737-800, Mayurpankhi made a 'technical landing' at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Thursday morning due to technical glitch.

The Biman flight of BG-084 made the  technical landing around 9:25am shortly after took off from the airport around 8:44am.

Biman deputy general manager Tahera Khandaker said, "It was not an emergency or crash landing, rather a technical landing.All the passengers are safe."

The plane was carrying 143 passengers and seven crew members, she said adding that the passengers were sent to Singapore by another Biman flight.

The reason behind the technical landing is under investigation, said the Biman official.
