A student of Banaphool Adibashi Green Heart College in Dhaka was injured after jumping off a building as his teacher allegedly hurled abusive words at him for not being successful in the examination.
Agitating students of the college brought out a protest procession outside the campus on Monday protesting a teacher's misbehavior that instigated the student to jump off the building.
Injured Shahriar Alam Akash, 19, was a student of Class-XII at the college in Mirpur-13 area, police said.
Akash is undergoing treatment at National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital at Agargaon.
He suffered injuries in his head, our staff correspondent reports quoting a doctor.
Alimuzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kafrul Police Station told The Daily Observer that they heard Akash had jumped off a third-storey building of the institute as one of his teachers hurled abusive words at him as he had failed to pass an examination.
As the news spread at the college, his classmates vandalized several rooms of the college, the OC added.
