Demand for Rabbani’s resignation as Ducsu GS

A left-leaning student organization Chhatra Federation on Sunday demanded removal of Golam Rabbani from the general secretary post of Dhaka University Central Student' Union (DUCSU) alleging moral degradation.
They made the demand from a rally held on the DU
campus. They also demanded suspension of Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon from the senate for the same allegation.
Chhatra Federation, a left-leaning student body, brought out a protest procession and held a short rally on the premises of DUCSU.
General Secretary of the organization Salman Farsi said, "The glorious history of DCUSU has been tarnished. The GS of DUCSU has been removed for extortion and corruption."
"So, we demand expulsion of Golam Rabbani from the GS post of DUCUSU immediately."

Meanwhile, quota reformists and some students of the university also brought out a procession on the campus demanding resignation of Vice Chancellor Prof M Akhtaruzzaman and Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam for their alleged involvement in getting BCL leaders get admitted to an evening course illegally prior to DUCSU polls.    
DUCSU Vice President Nurul Hoque Nur told the Daily Observer that, "As various allegations have been brought against DUCSU GS Golam Rabbani and he was relived of the BCL post, I think he lost the moral ground to stay as the DUCSU GS."
He also said, "I have already met DUCSU President Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman and informed the matter to him in writing and requested him to call a meeting and take decision in this regard."   
In this regard, DUCSU President also Vice Chancellor of DU Prof Akhtaruzzaman told the Daily Observer, "DUCSU is a student' representative body and it has a constitution. So it will run as per the constitution."
