Wild elephant kills man in Cox’s Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Sept 13: A wild elephant trampled a man to death at Purbo Bhutiapara in Sadar upazila here early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Nazir Ahmed, 48, son of late Ashu Ali of Vutiarpara area.
Police said the elephant attacked the man while he was guarding a paddy filed around 3:00am, leaving him injured. Locals took the victim to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Kamal Uddin, a member of Eidgaon Union Parishad.    -UNB
