Five found dead in five districts

Five persons were found dead in five districts- Madaripur, Barguna, Naogaon, Natore and Brahmanbaria, in four days.
MADARIPUR: Police recovered a man's bullet-hit body from the Arial Khan riverbank at Moherchar under Sadar Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.
Deceased Sagor Fakir alias Kala Sagor, 28, was the son of Kalam Fakir of Dargah Sharif area in the upazila.
Locals saw the body in the morning and informed police. Later, police recovered and sent the body to Madaripur Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
The deceased's mother Saleha begum said, "My son used to work in a tiles shop in Dhaka. He was implicated in a drug case recently but was free from Madaripur Jail following a bail plea on Tuesday, and since then had been missing."
Additional Superintend of Police Md Badrul Alam Mollah said 15 cases were filed against him with separate police stations; including Madaripur Sadar Model PS. Police are investigating into the incident.
PATHARGHATA, BARGUNA: Police recovered an unknown old man's body from a canal in Patharghata Upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.
Locals spotted the body, aged about 65, in the canal at Bishkhali and informed police, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patharghata Police Station (PS) Md Shahabuddin.
Later, police recovered and sent the body to Barguna Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Locals assumed the deceased might be an epilepsy patient and drowned in the canal while performing ablution.
NAOGAON: Police recovered a woman's hacked body from Sadar Upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
Deceased Fahima Begum, 45, was a resident of Dhopapara area in the district town.
Locals found Fahima lying in a pool of blood in her house at 11am and took her to Naogaon Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead.
On information, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Limon Roy and Sadar PS OC Suhrawardy Hossain visited the scene.
BAGATIPARA, NATORE: Family members of a youth recovered his body from the Boral River at Salainagar Village under Paka Union of Bagatipara Upazila on Monday night.
Deceased Kabil Uddin, 35, was the son of Mozahar Pramanik of the village.
Family and local sources said the deceased went to catch fish from the river in the morning and did not return home. Family members searched for him and found his body floating in the river at night. Later, they recovered the body and took it to home.
Bagatipara Model PS OC Sirajul Islam Sheikh, PPM, said the deceased was an epileptic patient.
BRAHMANBARIA: Police recovered the body of a newborn from Medda Sabujbagh area in the district town on Sunday.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Model PS OC Mohammad Selim Uddin said, local people saw the abandoned body wrapped in a polythene bag on the bank of a pond around 2:15pm and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The body might have been dumped one to two days after its birth, added the OC.
