OC, SI hacked in Habiganj
An Officer in-charge (OC) and a sub-inspector (SI) of Nabiganj Police Station in Habiganj were injured allegedly in an attack by a man accused of trading in drugs on Thursday evening.

The injured are OC (investigation ) Uttam Kumar Das and SI Fakhruzzaman.

Police said the two police officers went to arrest the suspect Shah Sohan Ahmed Musa, former vice president of the Nabiganj upazila BCL unit, who has an arrest warrant for him on charges of trading in drugs.

When the duo raided Musa’s shop in Salamatpur in the evening, he came out carrying a large billhook and hacked the law enforcers before fleeing.

Uttam was admitted to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital while Fakhruzzaman at Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex.

A police hunt is on to arrest Musa, said OC Iqbal Hossain.

The OC said Musa is a listed criminal and Yaba trader
