ACC official’s wife burned dead
The wife of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) director Mohammad Yusuf, who received burn injuries in their city residence on Wednesday, died on Thursday morning.
Deceased Tania Ishrat, 40, received burn injuries in their Uttara residence around 7.00pm on Wednesday. She was taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where she succumbed to her injuries this morning, said Uttara Purbo Police Station officer-in-charge Nur-e-Alam Siddiqi.
Reason behind the fire incident could not be known yet, added the OC.
Fire Service control room duty officer Mahfuj Riven said on information, fire fighters rushed to house-1, sector-6 of Uttara. "We found the evidence of fire on the first floor of the building and found an injured woman," he added.
ACC director Yusuf is well known on social media. He played a significant role to bring back discipline at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka removing irregularities.
