Students cannot stay on JnU campus after 10:30pm

The Jagannath University (JnU) authorities have imposed restrictions on students' entry and stay on the campus after 10:30pm.

The decision was taken on security grounds, said a press release signed by Engineer Ohiduzzaman, registrar of the university on Wednesday.

It has been noticed for the last couple of days that several unwanted incidents occurred on the university campus at night. That is why students were directed not to stay on the campus after 10:30pm for security reason, the press release said.





Recently, reports of drug abuse and mugging on the campus at night have been published in media.

Taking the matter into account, the university proctorial body have taken some initiatives. They also caught a few students red handed and handed over them to police, the release added .
