Asia Cup Archery: Ruman Shana reaches final
Bangladeshi archer Ruman Shana reached the men’s recurve singles final of the Asia Cup World Ranking (Archery) Tournament, Stage-3, beating his Chinese opponent La Ta by 6-4 sets in the semi-final at the Clark City in Philippines on Wednesday.
Shana will fight for gold against Zhenqi Shi of China on Friday.
Earlier, Ruman Shana eliminated Htet Zaw Thiha of Myanmar by straight 6-0 set in second round and defeated Denchai Thepna of Thailand by 6-0 sets in third round.
In the quarter final, Shana defeated Huie-Jhe Yang of Chinese Taipei by 7-1 sets.
Of the two other Bangladeshi archers, Hakim Ahmed Rubel eliminated from the second round and Tamimul Islam from the third round.
In women’s Recurve singles, Beauty Roy eliminated from the second round.
