Bangladesh head coach James Day said on Monday in a pre-match briefing, "The boys had practiced well. They played well in the practice matches in the last few days. Our opponent, Afghanistan is a strong team and its players are experienced of playing in abroad. But, we are willing to give a fight. We have a good team too and doing well for last few month, we are hopeful of a good result."
Team skipper Jamal Bhuiyan too echoed the coach. He said, "Afghanistan is a strong team. It will be tough match for us. We came here week ago and had practice here. We are now ready to give our best in the match. We will be trying to collect full three points."
Tajikistan is the neutral venue for Afghanistan matches as set by FIFA. Bangladesh boys went to Dushanbe on 2nd September, about a week before the match, to cope with the weather and condition.
