30 Years of Resistance at Drik Gallery

'30 Years of Resistance' the exhibition to celebrate Drik's 30 year's journey is now open for public viewing. Over thirty years, Drik, the media organisation from Bangladesh has used the power of visuals to challenge the abuse of power and created an alternative space for artists and activists.
The exhibition presents Drik's long journey knitted with pioneer Bangladeshi photographers' work to present a tribute towards the masters. Curated by ASM Rezaur Rahman, this is the last exhibition to take place at this premise. Drik will move to its new space in Panthapath in the beginning of 2020.
Drik Gallery was inaugurated in August 1993 with the first World Press Photo in Bangladesh. The gallery, split into two levels (on the first and second floor of the building), has permanent wall space measuring 446 running feet.  Its total floor area is 2,796 square feet. This is the largest private gallery in Bangladesh. Experienced curators are available to advise clients and the galleries often conduct back to back events.
