Thumping Thailand by 70 runs in the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 on Saturday Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team emerged as the champion of the Qualifier for the 3rd consecutive time.
After the crown decider of the Qualifier, the ICC published the complete fixture of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020, which is scheduled to be held in between February 21 and March 8 in 2020 in Australia. Tigresses are going to play in the T20i World Cup for the 4th occasion.
Bangladesh will get Australia, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Group-A while England, South Africa, West Indies, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea will compete in Group-B. Top two sides of each of the group will be qualified for play-off matches. Both the semifinal fixtures will be played on March 5 and the final of tournament will be held on March 8, the international women's day.
The seventh edition of the tournament will kick off with the clash between defending champions Australia and India on February 21. Bangladesh will meet India in their starter of the tournament on February 24. They will meet with Australia and New Zealand on February 27 and 29 respectively. Tigress will get Sri Lanka for their last group stage clash on March 2.
Bangladesh beat Ireland by four wickets in the first semifinal of the tournament in progress on Thursday and paved the way to hold the Qualifier trophy for the 3rd consecutive time following to the win in final of September 7.
