Nazma Masud's story however began from the childhood. When that story became matured, she turned out to be an idol of the women entrepreneurs in the country. Her inspiration was her elder sister Asia who taught her sewing cloths. Before crossing the school phase, she learned the arts of making hand-made things and thereafter learnt the things like applic, cross-stitch and others. This was just the preparation, prelude to what makes her self-reliant and a material to conquer the world eventually.
During her college life, she learnt tailoring in Fucha Training center. The most important thing was she was a quick learner and learnt the things by watching it. Those arts of learning however helped her to open a Boutique House named Nandini Fashion in Mohammadpur and that too by her own initiative.
During the liberation war, Nazma lost her father and mother both, when she was just a two months baby. Firstly her mother was died after which her father became slain. That's why in the age when everyone gets everything to his/her desire, Nazma's childhood was all about hardship. But hard-work makes a person different and Nazma was no different. By her immense hard-work, Nazma finally established her as a successful entrepreneur in the country.
Her husband however also extended his helping hand to her to achieve what she wants. Her husband Masud Hasan is the Managing Director of Step One Group in which Nazma is also Deputy Managing Director and she gives here the time along with her other works.
Nazma said she is grateful to her husband to come to this extent. However, the pair is blessed with one son and daughter-Oishorjo and Prachurjo.
"Before my marriage I got inspiration from my elder sister. After marriage my husband always inspires me," she said.
"Many of my activities, one of my main activities are related with old age home. I am working for creating new women entrepreneur. I am offering free training for them. I am evoking the government for helping to make women entrepreneur. Our duty is to make women entrepreneur by offering free training and products. My social activities also involved about stop early marriage, to help street child etc."
By her own, Nazma has been training the girls, coming from different rural areas of the country as she wants to make them employed.
"My main goal is to establish Bangladesh girl so that they can rule the world," Nazma Masud said.
There is another story that should inspire the women. When Nazma Masud joined with different activities of MIDAS, she was so young. Slowly she created her space. Now she is the director of MIDAS, Mini Marts of Gulshan Branch, shareholders of Uttara Mini Mart, member of Bangladesh Federation, active member of Entrepreneur Association and director of WIMA Polli Resort. Moreover, Nazma Masud is running a NGO named Nazma Masud Empowerment Welfare Association. She is also the Vice-President of Association of Women Entrepreneur (AWE).
