Probe clears jt secy, 2 others of complicity

A probe report has been submitted to the High Court over the death of schoolboy Titas Ghosh for ferry delay at Khathalbari Ghat in Madaripur for a VIP, accusing three people, including the ghat manager Salam Hossain.
Rest two accused are
ghat officials Khokan Mia and Firoz Alam, confirmed Deputy Attorney General Barrister Abdullah Al Mahmud Basha.
The report said departure of a ferry carrying an ambulance with Titas in it was delayed for two hours that caused the schoolboy's death. The trio cannot avoid it responsibilities.
But the investigation body did not find the guilt of Joint Secretary Abdus Sabur Mondal, the report said.
Earlier on July 31, the High Court directed the Public Administration Secretary to investigate the death of schoolboy Titas.
The HC asked the secretary to appoint an additional secretary for the inquiry and submit the report before it in three weeks. On July 25, Titas Ghosh, a sixth grader and son of Tapas Ghosh from Narail, died from brain haemorrhage in an ambulance as the authority delayed the departure of a ferry at Khathalbari jetty in Madaripur for two hours for Joint Secretary Abdus Sabur Mondal.
