Man's body found in Noakhali


Police recovered the body of a man in Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district on Wednesday afternoon.

Deceased Shah Alam, 59, was a resident of Kulshi village in the upazila. He ran a tea stall in the village.  

Deceased's daughter Sharmin Akter said Alam went out of the house around 1:30 am following several phone calls and did not return home.

Locals spotted the body near his tea stall this afternoon and informed police, said Anwarul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chatkhil Police Station.

Later, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Noakhali Sadar General Hospital morgue.

Several injury marks were found on the body, the OC said.
