Five found dead in five districts
Three women and two men were found dead in five districts- Pirojpur, Gopalganj, Kurigram, Barishal and Rajshahi, on Saturday and Friday.
BHANDARIA, PIROJPUR: Police recovered a female madrasa student's body from Posharibunia Village in Bhandaria Upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.
Deceased Ayesha Akhter, 14, was the daughter of Badsha Hawlader of the village, and a student of class seven at Wares Afsaria Dakhil Madrasa.
Ayesha's mother Tahura Begum said, they had an argument over trivial matter on Saturday morning. Later, she hanged self with a scarf.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhandaria Police Station (PS) SM Maksudur Rahman said, an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
GOPALGANJ: Police recovered a youth's body from the Ghagor-Poysharhat Canal in Harinahati Village under Kotalipara Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
Deceased Rajib Khan, 20, was the son of Pintu Khan of the village.
The deceased's mother Matura Begum said, "Rajib went out of home on last Thursday evening and did not return. We searched for him but could not trace out. On Saturday morning, locals saw the body floating in the canal and informed police."
Kotalipara PS OC Sheikh Lutfar Rahman said they recovered and sent the body to Gopalganj morgue for an autopsy.
The OC also said Rajib was a drug addict. It is assumed that he took drug and fell in the canal.
ULIPUR, KURIGRAM: Police recovered an unknown man's decomposed body from the Tista River near Nagrakura T-Bandh area under Gunaigachh Union in Ulipur Upazila of the district on Friday night.
Police said locals saw the body in the said area and informed police. Later, police recovered the body at night and sent it to Kurigram morgue for an autopsy on Saturday morning.
Ulipur PS OC Moazzem Hossen confirmed the incident.
BARISHAL: Police recovered a college girl's hanging body from Kaunia area of the city early Friday.
Deceased Farzana Akhter Shathi, 22, was the wife of Rahat Biswas of Bakerganj Upazila in the district and a student of honours class at Chakher College.
Kaunia PS OC Anwar Hossen said Shathi and her husband had been staying in a rented house at Kaunia area for the last six years. She might have killed self over family feud.
On information, police recovered and sent the body to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy on Friday morning.
RAJSHAHI: Police recovered a woman's hanging body from Mohanpur area under Katakhali PS of the city on Friday.
Deceased Nasira Khatun, 27, was the wife of Lokman Ali of the area.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of the PS Anisur Rahman said Nasira might have killed self over family feud.
The body was recovered and sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, the SI added.
