The immigrant alumnae of the University of Dhaka (DU) residing outside Bangladesh are spread over every continent of the world. They have been actively contributing building their own communities in Bangladesh and abroad. As part of this, the Jagannath Hall Alumni Association Australia Inc (JHAAA) of the DU was founded in 2018. Since the establishment, the association has been actively functioning to develop a community of belongingness with its alumnae across Australia through organising community-centred events. This includes annual celebration of Pohela Baiskha, reunion, recalling the significance of martyred souls of Jagannath Hall in 1985, organising occasional cricket match and offering financial support to the disadvantaged current students of Jagannath Hall, DU.  These events collectively allow alumnae to build up better networking.
On17 August 2019, the JHAAA held its second annual general meeting at Multipurpose Room, Auburn Centre for Community, Sydney. During this meeting, the executive committee for 2019-20 was formed by selecting president Sudarshan Das and Vice President Nikesh Nag and other members.
