More than 300 illegal establishments were demolished in an eviction drive in Sadar upazila of Noakhali district on Saturday morning.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Zakaria led the eviction drive.

Bangladesh Army Engineering Construction Brigade-34, Noakhali Municipality and Sadar Model Police Station joined the drive combinedly.

The drive demolished more than three hundreds of illegal establishments along a canal from Sonapur Zero Point to Noakhali Science and Technology University on the Noakhali-Subarnachar road, said Zakaria.

The eviction drive was conducted to ease the waterlogging and traffic congestion in the district town, the official added.
