Mystery over 2 students' death under train
Mystery has arisen over the deaths of two students under the wheels of a train in Cumilla on Friday.
Police are looking into the matter to know whether the teenage boy and girl committed suicide, or they died after being crushed by train.
Deceased Swapnil Haque Aditya, 13, was the son of Monirul Haque, a resident of Shashangachha, and Setu Roy, 14, daughter of Subol Roy of Dharmapur under Cumilla City Corporation.
Aditya was the seventh grader at Cumilla Police Lines School while Setu ninth grader at Railway Public School.
Cumilla Railway (GRP) Police Outpost in-charge Tanvir Salehin Imon said two students were crushed under the wheels of a train of 'Pravati Express' this afternoon.
Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent these to Cumilla Medical College Hospital morgue, the in-charge added.
Golapi Rani Roy, mother of late Setu, said her daughter went out of home around 9:45 for her a private in city's Bagichagaon area. This afternoon, they were informed she is no more.
Asked whether Setu had love affair with Aditya, Golapi Rani said she knows nothing about the this.
Aditya's father Monirul said his son left house for his a private tuition in city's Racecourse area but later they came to know Aditya was crushed under train.
He also said he has no knowledge about love relation between Aditya and Setu.
Quoting locals, police said Setu went to the rail line to roam but at one stage she was caught in a part. Aditya tried to save but the duo were crushed by train.
