Three justices of the High Court Division have been relieved of their duties on corruption charges.

An investigation has also been started against Justices Kazi Rezaul Haque, AKM Zahurul Haque and Salma Masud Chowdhury.

Their (three justices) names have not been kept in today's any cause list where the names and bench numbers of other justices were mentioned.

SC officials, however, declined to make any comment on the issue.

Earlier on May 16, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam brought an allegation against a High Court bench for changing the verdict in a loan related writ case regarding of a bank by 'issuing decree illegally'.

On the day, senior lawyers, including the Attorney General, requested the Chief Justice to lodge a complain to the president against  Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury.

Senior lawyers made the open court advice in an appeal hearing of an appellate division bench led by chief justice Syed Mahmud Hossain.
