Alleging that the government totally failed to run the country, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said it has no responsibility for poeple.
"The ruling party leaders are making comment like a fool over any issue and destroying all democratic institutions," he said.
The senior BNP leader came up with the allegation after placing wreath on the grave of late President and party founder Ziaur Rahman on the founding anniversary of Swechchhasebak Dal.
Expressing his reaction over the Industries Minister's allegation that the BNP had bought the rawhide and dumped on the street, Fakhrul said, "They have failed to run the country. So, they have nothing to say instead of talking like a fool."
"An unelected government can't run the country. The parliament was not elected by people's mandate. The illegal govenrment has destroyed all democratic institutions in a planned way. Now, they are out to destroy country's economy," said Fakhrul.
He also alleged that their only aim is to establish an one-party rule in the country.
"But, the countrymen must bring party Chairperson Khaleda Zia out of jail through waging a movement. They will restore country's democracy like past," Fakhrul hoped.
