Woman killed 'by husband' in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, Aug 18: A housewife was hacked to death allegedly by her husband following a family feud at Chheria village in Maheshpur upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Firoza Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Kuddus of the village.
Quoting locals, sub-inspector Akbar Ali of Bhairaba police outpost said the couple locked into an altercation around 1:30am.
At one stage, Abul hacked Firoza with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police arrested Abdul from a nearby village in the morning, the SI added.
