Teenager loses life in road crash a day after buying motorcycle

A teenage boy was killed as his motorcycle fell into roadside drain in Laxmipur town on Sunday morning, a day after he bought the vehicle.

Deceased Ibrahim, 17, was the son of Abul Khair, a resident of 6 no. ward of  Laxmipur municipality. He was an eleventh grader at Dalal Bazar Degree College.

Relatives said Ibrahim’s motorcycle fell into roadside drain as he lost control over it, leaving him dead on the spot.

Without learning properly riding, he took the motorcycle on road that caused the accident, the relatives added.

Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Md Azizur Rahman said the teenage boy was riding the bike without helmet when the incident took place.
