Writ seeks probe into abnormal rawhide price fall
A writ has been filed with the High Court seeking its directives to form an independent inquiry commission to investigate the abnormal price fall of rawhide of the sacrificial animals and to identify the persons involved in the incident..
Supreme Court lawyer Mohiuddin Farhad Hanif filed the writ on Sunday.
The writ also urged to issue a rule as to why the fall of rawhide price should not be declared illegal.
The hearing is likely to be held with the HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Quader.
This year, seasonal traders thrown away thousands of pieces of rawhide of sacrificial animals, failing to sell those at proper price.
