Dengue outbreak: 76 undergoing treatment in Sirajgang


A total of 76 dengue patients are now undergoing treatment at hospitals in Sirajganj district, according to authorities.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jahidul Islam confirmed the matter.

The civil surgeon said they have so far recorded 394 dengue cases. Of them, 318 patients returned to home after taking treatment.

The hospitals in Bangladesh have admitted nearly 50,000 patients with dengue fever so far this year, including 31,538 in the first half of August.

The number of such patients totalled 49,999 until Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
