Man dies of dengue in Khulna


A man died of mosquito-borne dengue fever at a hospital in Khulna on Tuesday morning.

Deceased Mohammad Russel, 32, was the son of Mohammad Selim, a resident of Narikelbari village in Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj district. He worked as a cleaner at Dhaka's Ramna Park.

Russel died at Khulna Medical College Hospital this morning while undergoing treatment, said Partho Protim Debnath, assistant registrar at Medicine Department of the hospital.

He was admitted to Gopalganj Hospital a few days ago with dengue fever. Later, he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated, said ASM Abdur Razzak, civil surgeon of Khulna.
