Two poems by Ferdin Easin

I brought you a pomegranate
A heavenly fruit
Which some believe so
It bleeds when you cut it
Like the hearts of the lovers
When they part

This is all I had
To tell you the truth

Let me cut it for you
It will redden your eyes
Like the memories of our past
Not a letter with words of woe

I brought you a pomegranate
Its colour will remind you of my eyes
When I will not be there
For you like the thousand times before

Take it.
Cut it into pieces
If you like

Its colour will go darker
If you forsake it
Like the feelings of a lover

Don't Leave Me

Why do you always leave?
Why don't you stay some more?
I have much to tell you
Sit beside me
Talk to me
Even if you don't want to speak
Say nothing
But stay with me

Do you want silence?
Okay, i will say no more
But stay with me
Don't leave me

Do you want to leave?
Why, then
Speak to me

You have you nothing to say?

Here, I live for you
Like the every other day

I will die alone
With a grieving heart
Till I see you the next day
