Sedition case filed against Priya Shaha in Netrokona
A sedition case was filed against Priya Saha, an organizing secretary of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad, in Netrokona on Sunday.
AKM Azharul Islam, president of a youth organization 'Team Nouka', filed the case before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Hamidul Haque.
In a video clip on July 18, Priya Saha was seen telling US President Donald Trump, among other things, that 37 million Hindu, Buddhist and Christian people have been disappeared from Bangladesh.
She also told President Trump that her land has been grabbed by Muslim fundamentalists and sought his help so that Hindu, Buddhist and Christian people can live in Bangladesh.
The case stated that the false and fabricated complaint made by Priya Saha that 37 million minor people have been disappeared from Bangladesh, is an act of sedition. The statement maligned the image of Bangladesh as well as the government. This is a pre-planned conspiracy against Bangladesh and it could hamper existing communal harmony in Bangladesh.
The Plaintiff filed the case demanding justice for making this false and ridiculous statement.
