Two cases have been filed against Priya Saha, one of the organising secretaries of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad, on charge of sedition.
Supreme Court lawyer barrister Sayed Sayedul Haque Sumon, also the International Crimes Tribunal prosecutor, filed a sedition case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ziaur Rahman's court on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Bar executive member Ibrahim Khalil filed another case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufyan Noman's court.
Earlier on Friday night, barrister Sumon in facebook live announced to file a case against Priya Saha. He said, "I will file a case against her. You will beside me."
In a video clip on July 18, Priya Saha was seen telling US President Donald Trump, among other things, that 37 million Hindu, Buddhist and Christian people have been disappeared from Bangladesh.
She also told President Trump that her land has been grabbed by Muslim fundamentalists and sought his help so that Hindu, Buddhist and Christian people can live in Bangladesh.
The video clip went viral on social media platforms.
