Task force for dairy products formed at BAU

A task force has been formed at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh to assess the quality of milk and dairy products which is a burning question nowadays.
The force has been formed with head of Dairy Science Department Prof Dr Md Harun-ur Rashid as chairman while Prof Dr Mohammad Ashiqul Islam, Dairy Science Department was selected as member secretary for the task force. Other members are Animal Husbandry Faculty dean Prof Dr Md Nurul Islam, BAU Research System (BAURES) Director Prof Dr MA M Yahia Khandoker, Prof Dr S M Lutful Kabir, Microbiology and Hygiene Dept, Prof Dr Razia Sultana, Agricultural Chemistry Dept and Prof Dr Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Pharmacology Dept, according to the instructions of BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Lutful Hassan.
The task of the task force is to collect milk and various dairy products samples from country's different farms and organizations to evaluate the quality of that milk and dairy products and submit a detailed report with a rapid researched result and give recommendations in this context. All the necessary expenditure for the research will be provided from BAU Research System (BAURES).

BAU VC said that, it is necessary to know that who are responsible for the antibiotics containing milk. If the matter is not proved then the poor farmers may be affected. The university has taken this initiative to overcome this solution.
