SAPAHAR, NAOGAON, July 20: People of Sapahar Upazila in the district are suffering much for acute load-shedding.
As a result, different electric and electronic items like television, fridge, computer etc. are being damaged.
Manager of Mercantile Bank at Sapahar Upazila headquarters Mahbubur Rahman said due to load-shedding, some computers and air conditions at their office have been damaged.
Monowarul Hossen of Kochkuralia Village said due to the load-shedding the coil of his fridge has been damaged, leaving raw materials inside the fridge rotten.
Locals said the load-shedding is creating setback in running different offices and educational institutions. The students cannot study properly for the load-shedding.
Though complaints have been sent to the local power office, there was no solution to the problem.
Though the locals are getting electricity for only five to six hours daily, huge bill is being issued at the month's end.

It has started after Nirmoil Union of Patnitala Upazila was connected with power recently. The power switches are getting out of order frequently as the electric cables have been wired through trees.
