Two persons found dead in Sirajganj
SIRAJGANJ, July 20: Two persons were found dead in the district on Friday.
Fire fighters recovered a minor's body from Chalan Beel (water body) in Tarash Upazila of the district on Friday night, eight hours after he went missing.
Deceased Aditya Kumar, 7, was the son of Sree Narottam of the upazila and a student of class one at Roghunili Mangalbaria Government Primary School.
Locals said the child was taking bath in the Roghunili Beel when he drowned in it and went missing.
Being informed, firefighters from Tarash Upazila rushed to the spot and searched for the child but could not become successful. Later, they informed the matter to Rajshahi Divisional Fire Service who recovered the body from the Chalan Beel.
On the other hand, police recovered an unknown youth's body form a river near Sonatola Bridge under Ullahpara Upazila of the district on Friday morning.
Earlier, the deceased went missing after he fell from a Dhaka-bound train from Iswardi of Pabna District on July 17 last.
Durganagar Union Parishad Chairman Ershad Hossen and Sub-Inspector of Ullahpara Model Police Station Nure Alam Siddiki said locals saw the body floating in the river and informed police. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
