Brahmanbaria district bus owners' association has placed a seven-point demand, including to stop movement of illegal vehicles on the highway in the district.

The association made the demands at a press conference at Brahmanbaria Press Club on Saturday afternoon.

In written speech, the organization general secretary Mohammad Hanif said they demand government shut plying of CNG-run auto-rickshaw, three-wheeler, shallow engine-run tractor and battery-run easy-bike on the highways; and evict unlawful CNG-run auto-rickshaw stand beside road.

Besides, they will call transport strike if their demands are not implemented by Thursday (July 25), Hanif announced.

Transport leader Anisur Rahman and Jashim, and the district bus-minibus owners' association leaders were also present at the programme.
