Lightning kills labourer

PAIKGACHHA, KHULNA, July 18: A labourer was killed by lightning in Shankardana area under Lata Union Parishad in Paikgachha Upazila of the district on Monday afternoon. Deceased Sabar Ali Fakir, 50, was the son of late Meher Ali of Malot Village in the union. Sources said when Sabar Ali was working in an under-construction bridge, lightning struck him, and he was seriously injured. Later, he died on way to a local hospital. |
