Police sets example of neutral  recruitment of constables

For the first time in history, police recruitment has followed its normal course of procedure, by shunning all malpractices as many recruits were chosen from different districts this year. Police HQ source told The Daily Observer on Thursday, many candidates were able to obtain jobs by just spending the Tk 103 required for postal order and examination fees.
Also most of the police constables have been appointed on the basis of qualification and merit. Officials at the Police Headquarters said, at least 100 police officials and constables have been removed for taking bribes from recruitment of police constables. Actions were taken in the last couple of weeks during the recruitment of 9,680 constables, which was held from June 22 in all districts.
Javed Patwari of Rangpur district has also been recruited without paying any bribe, in total 286 people were recruited from Rangpur district. The brokerage clerk could not move the workers to the bottom of the recipient.  
Many parents broke down in tears of joy while hearing news of successful recruitment of their dear ones. Rangpur District Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman was made the transparency commissioner.
According to the office of the Police of Superintendent, about 2,000 job candidates from 8 upazilas of Rangpur district took part in the examination. Of these, 286 were elected. Of these, members of brackish families have been improved by 51. In the next position, 35 children of Dinamajur family besides, 10 rickshaw-auto-bike drivers, 10 carpenters and 26 children of orphan families got jobs.
The remaining 174 constable candidates came from several low tiers of the society. In addition, many people got jobs in many different areas including from freedom fighter and tribal quotas.
