Call details of Minni with accused placed in court
Rifat murder: Minni placed on 5-day remand
A Barguna court on Wednesday placed Ayesha Siddika Minni, wife of slain Rifat Sharif, on a five-day remand.
Police produced Minni before Barguna Judicial Magistrate Court around 3pm seeking seven days' remand.
Later, Judge Md Sirajul Islam Gazi granted police five days to interrogate her.
Minni, prime witness of Rifat murder case, was brought to the police lines from her house around 10:15am on Tuesday for interrogation and was shown arrested at night.
Earlier on July 13, Rifat's father Dulal Sharif at a press conference claimed that Minni had a link in his son's murder. He demanded arrest of his daughter-in-law.
Dulal claimed that Minni secretly married Nayan Bond, one of the killers, before his son and she alongwith her family hide the matter.
On June 26, Rifat Sharif, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife in broad daylight in the district town. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.
Our Barguna correspondent adds: Minni has pleaded not guilty in the court and demanded justice for her husband.
At that time, the IO of the case placed accused Hridoy's statement, given earlier, in the court room.
In the statement, Hridoy mentioned Minni's involvement in the killing.
The call and conversation details of Minni with Nayan Bond, Rifat Farazi and other accused were also submitted before the court.
Minni remained silent as the court asked her about the matter.
