chief to be laid to rest at his 'Palli Nibash'. The fourth janaza was held at Rangpur Central Eidgah Maidan after Zohr prayers on Tuesday. After the janaza, local JaPa men put up barricade at about 3pm and took the body to 'Palli Nibash'. The former military ruler will be buried beside his father’s grave in the litchi garden. Meanwhile, JaPa has issued a statement saying that Raushon Ershad, the deputy leader of the opposition in parliament, has given permission to bury her husband in Rangpur. The former military autocrat and five-time MP, HM Ershad, breathed his last at Dhaka CMH at 7:45am on Sunday at the age of 89. LY |
