Mother, daughter electrocuted

JOYPURHAT, July 15: A woman and her daughter were electrocuted at Molamgari Village under Kalai Upazila of the district on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Swapna Begum, 33, and her daughter Shimu Akhter, 4, of Molamgarihat of the area.
Quoting locals and family members, Officer-in-Charge of Kalai Police Station Md Abdul Latif Khan said Swapna got electrocuted when she went to hang wet clothes on an iron wire which was electrified during the rain last night.
Shimu got electrocuted when she touched her mother. Locals recovered them and took them to Kalai Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead.
