Fresh areas flooded in Lalmonirhat
With the swelling of the Dharla River, fresh areas were flooded in Lalmonirhat district on Monday.
The Dharla is flowing 46 centimeters above the danger level in afternoon.
People of Mugholhat and Kulaghat UPs in Sadar upazila and 20 unions in remote charlands are in immense suffering as their houses, lands and roads went under water.
Flood affected people in the areas are taking shelters in road sides and high lands. They are depriving of sufficient foods.
Water Development Board (WDB) Executive Engineer at Dalia Robiul Islam said the water movement of the Teesta River is changing rapidly.
It flows below the danger level in the morning but flows above the danger level at night.
