Ershad’s body at Dhaka CMH

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad will be buried at the Military Graveyard in city's Banani on Tuesday.
The first namaz-e-janaza for the former military ruler was held at the Army Central Mosque in Dhaka on Sunday after Zohr prayers.
The body will be kept at the CMH mortuary for Sunday. The second namaz-e-janaza of Ershad will be held on the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad at 10:30 am tomorrow.
Following the janaza, his body will be kept at the party’s central office in the city’s Kakrail between 12 noon and 3pm to enable his party men and general people to have the last glimpse.
Later, his body will be kept at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) mortuary following his third namaz-e-janaza to be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Asr prayers, a Jatiya Party press release said.
On Tuesday morning, Ershad’s body will be flown by a helicopter to his ancestral home district Rangpur where his last namaz-e-janaza will be held on the Eidgah ground at 10:30 am.
His body will be brought back to Dhaka and will be buried at the Banani Army Graveyard after Johr prayers.
Ershad died at CMH this morning at the age of 89.

Ershad’s brother and JaPa acting chairman GM Quader, son Shad Ershad, JaPa secretary general Moshiur Rahman Ranga, its presidium members ABM Ruhul Amin Hawladar, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, Kazi Firoz Rashid, MP, Zia Uddin Ahmed Bablu, MP, and Syed Abu Hossain Babla, MP, Jatiya Party leaders and activists, and people from all strata joined the janaza.
