BSF members shoot dead 2 Bangladeshis

Two Bangladesh national were killed in firing by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Wahedpur border in Shibagnj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday night.

The deceased are: Saddam Hossain Patal, 25, son of late Saifuddin of Daishapara village, and Royal, 25, son of Asadul Islam of Dubagi village, in the upazila.

BSF members of Nurpur camp of India opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders when they were entering the country illegally around 11.00 pm, leaving the duo dead on spot, said local people.

Durlovpur Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Razib Razu confirmed the matter.

Major Mukhlesur Rahman, deputy commander of Chapainawabganj BGB-53, said he was not aware of the incident, but confirmed to look into the matter.
