Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Parishad is staging demonstration and observing sit-in programme on Saturday, demanding extension of age limit to 35 from 30 for entering government jobs.

They started the sit-in programme at the base of Raju Memorial Sculpture on Dhaka University campus around 10:30am.

The organization spokesman Imtiaz Hossain said, "Our demand has not been met despite recommendation of Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration."

"We have been protesting peacefully for last seven years. We will continue the sit-in programme until the demand is met," Imtiaz added.

He urged the government to extend job entry age limit to 35 within short time.
