Two cases filed against madrasa principal for ‘raping 12 girls’
NARAYANGANJ, July 5: Two separate cases were filed on Friday morning against a madrasa principal for allegedly raping 12 female students.
Members of a victim's family filed the case with Fatullah Model Police Station under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act while Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) filed another case under Pornography Act against the principal, Al-Amin.
The accused, son of Renu Mia of Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla, is the founding principal and imam of Baitul Huda Cadet Madrasa.
Md Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge of Fatullah Model Police Station, said Rab arrested Al-Amin from Mohammadpur on July 4. They also recovered some porn videos from him.
Rab-11 Additional Superintendent of Police Alep Uddin said Al-Amin confessed to raping and sexually assaulting 12 female students. He also showed porn videos to the girls and made porn using their pictures. "We'll seek the court's permission to interrogate him for a second time," he added. -UNB
