Home Minister Asaduz-zaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said the security system is being upgraded in accordance with international standards to meet any challenge.
"Considering the challenges ahead of us, our law enforcers are constantly planning and collecting information on corruption throughout the world," he said on Sunday.
"We are expanding our capacity so that we can combat any challenge," he added.
The minister said as the law enforcers were alert after the Sri Lanka bombing,
a similar incident was avoided in Bangladesh.
On corruption, Kamal said, "There is corruption everywhere. But we have plans to reduce it."
He added that the ministry was working towards that goal and had already established an independent Anti-Corruption Commission and anyone involved in graft will be brought to the book.
As there has been a rise in cybercrimes recently the government had already strengthened the cybercrime unit and the national telecommunication monitoring cell, said the minister.
