32 wild animals seized at Sreepur

SREEPUR, GAZIPUR, June 19: Members of Wildlife Crime Prevention Unit, in a drive at three shops in Mawna Chourasta area of Sreepur Municipality on Monday afternoon, seized 32 wild animals.
Inspector of Wildlife Crime Prevention Unit Asim Kumar Mollick said, hearing the news of the drive, the shop owners fled the scene. The seized animals were released at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park on Tuesday.
During the drive, Officer-in-Charge of the park and Assistant Forest Conservator Tobibur Rahman, and Junior Wildlife Scout Md Abdul Malek were also present.
