Ruman Shana given cordial reception

Country's now much known archer Ruman Shana is accorded a warm reception at the Sheikh Russel Roller-skating Stadium at Paltan in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The archery contingent returned home in morning on the day and State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel received them at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Afterwards, the archers came at the Roller-skating Stadium where Ruman was accorded the colourful reception. Along with the Youth and Sports State Minister, Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Syed Shahed Reza, Secretary of the National Sports Council Masud Karim, City Group Executive Director Jafar Uddin and officials of Bnagladesh Archery Federation and other sporting disciplines were present in the programme.
In his speech in the programme, World Archery Championship bronze winner Ruman Shana emphasized on more hard work to bring good result in Olympic as it's the mega event in the World.
He said the bronze medal which he won in the World archery championship is the biggest reward so far in his career, even eclipsing the first ever gold and silver medal he won earlier for Bangladesh at the World level.
Shana, while commenting about his coach Martin Fredric, said a coach like him is really needed for the long term for the development of country's archery.
During the reception ceremony archery team sponsor City Group handed over cash prize of Taka 200,000 to Ruman Sana.
The people of Bangladesh got good news only few days ago when ace archer Roman Sana as the second Bangladeshi confirmed direct ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games securing the semi-finals of recurve division of the World Archery Championship.
After earning the right to participate in Tokyo Olympics directly, he finished his World Archery Championships campaign on a high when he beat Mauro Nespoli of Italy for the coveted bronze medal.
