The rest of the newly promoted joint secretaries were left out of promotion during the previous promotions.
With the new inclusion, the number of joint secretaries stood at 999. Before the promotion, the number was 863 in the civil administration.
After the promotion, the officials were made Officers On Special duty (OSD). They would be assigned for new places soon, according to the PA ministry officials.
Besides, 12 deputy

Earlier on June 11 this year, they were transferred to different places as deputy secretary. However, the PA Ministry on Sunday cancelled their transfer order and asked them to work as 'insito'.
