Arambagh blanks Chittagong Abahani 1-0
Arambagh Krira Sangha blanked Chittagong Abahani by 1-0 margin in a second phase meet on Sunday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Nigerian striker Matthew Chinedu scored the all important goal in the 63rd minute of the match following an assist by Arifur Rahman.
Arambagh also won the first phase match against the same rival by 2-0 in 3rd February this year at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh. One of the heroes of that match midfielder Arifur Rahman has contribution in the Sunday-match too. His timely assistance made it possible for Matthew to score the match winning goal.
Yet after winning the match on Sunday, Arambagh is still holding the fifth place on the point table with 23 points. The port city team, on the other hand, was on the sixth place with the previously collected 18 points.
