Prices of different products would go up as Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has proposed in the proposed budget for 2019-20 financial year to extend VAT, and raise VAT rate on some products.

Talking over mobile phone will be costlier due to supplementary duty hike in the proposed budget.

In the same reason, price of all kinds of bidi, cigarette, zarda and gul will increase.

Finance Minister has proposed to raise VAT in rod production and market. That is why, construction costs of building may rise.

In production level, 5 percent VAT has been imposed instead of tariff price, so prices of LP Gas, powder milk, power spice, tomato casap, condiment, fruit juice, toilet tissue, tube light, frame of spectacles may rise.

For the same reason, price of establishment materials, CR Coil, GI Wire, Screw, aluminum made pot, plate, blade, transformer, sun-glass, reading glass may rise.

Proposal was made to impose VAT on Gold and silver jewelry, English medium school, AC cabin of launch, broadband internet, indenting, furniture, transport contractor, information-based services.

The Finance Minister has proposed to raise VAT 2.50 percent on the prices of cloth.

In the budget, proposal to increase supplementary duty on helicopter's service value beside VAT has been made. As a result, helicopter passengers will have to count more money.

Vehicle registration fee may rise due to imposing supplementary duty on BRTA set service charge to make registration of all kinds of vehicle, except passenger bus, goods-laden truck, lorry, ambulance, route permit renew, fitness certificate, ownership certificate.
